Opportunities have arisen for an experienced Engineering Business Development Manager and an experienced Applications Manager
Engineering Business Development Manager
An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Business Development Manager in Monocon’s Engineering Division which is currently experiencing an exciting period of development. The role, based in the UK Denaby offices, will be part of a busy and dynamic engineering and technical marketing team.
Working in a multi cultural environment the role will involve:
- Marketing and technical support of existing Monocon Engineering technologies and products
- Customer presentations and site surveys
- Preparation of technical proposals
- Being a key member of the engineering design team
- Looking for new development and business opportunities
- Developing strong relationships with Group companies and customers
- Frequent overseas travel
Successful candidate will ideally have a degree or similar in an engineering discipline and/or have several years industry experience within the steel making or related industries.
Foreign languages could be an advantage.
The remuneration package will include: competitive salary subject to qualifications and experience, company car, pension, medical insurance
Applications Manager
The role based in the UK and will be part of UK sales and technical service team.
Working in a multi cultural environment the role will involve:
- Managing and coordinating field trials.
- Design and recommendations for product design and application
- Liaising with sales, customer service and technical functions in order to provide the best possible levels of technical support and customer service.
- Providing technical assistance and guidance internally within the company and our clients.
- Developing strong relationships with the parent company and customers
- The role will involve some overseas travel
Successful candidate will ideally have a degree or similar in an appropriate science discipline such as Materials Science or Ceramics and/or have several years industry experience within refractories / minerals and / or related engineering industries with at least 5 years experience in refractories for steel continuous casting applications. Knowledge and experience with isostatically produced refractories and flow control systems would be a distinct advantage.
