The first quarter of 2020 saw the successful commissioning of the fully automated robotic spray machine for the application of working linings to both Billet & Combi Tundishes at Outokumpu, SMACC, Sheffield,UK.

Over the last 25 years Monocon has investigated and innovated solutions to the problem of vortex slag. As such, the UK development team has carried out significant water modelling work to determine the best solution to preventing slag carryover from the vortex.

In the first quarter of 2017, Monocon International Refractories was pleased to announce the receipt of a significant order to produce an customised automatic dart machine for a major steel manufacturing plant in the Czech Republic.
